Why ISMO you ask? Landing on a name to start your freelance venture is hard, but one thing I was sure of was that I wanted it to be simple, personal and unique. My love for art and design really took shape in my high school years, alongside the shouts of 'SIMO!' across the school campus - a nickname that has stuck with me to this day. ISMO is simply a play on that, with a little letter reshuffle to reflect me going into the next - more professional stage of my design life.

Born and raised in Ulverston on the edge of the beautiful Lake District, I am a Cumbrian through and through; but I also share a deep love for my 'second home' in the toon (Newcastle) where I spent three years studying Motion Graphics and Animation Design - skills which I have carried with me ever since. After graduating with a 2:1 BA Honours Degree 8 years ago, I have worked as a designer and senior designer in the marketing industry for a wide variety of clients on a huge range of projects - as well as taking on many more projects in my own time to build and enhance my skills, such as branding, illustration and more. My skill set is in turn, varied, and I am a self proclaimed perfectionist - but I find no greater pleasure than creating and helping peoples visions come to life, whatever they may be.
